Mohamed Salah Rated as Liverpool’s Best Recruitment, Agreed?
Mohamed Salah is Liverpool’s best recruit in the transfer window this summer, according to Michael Owen. This refers to the speed of Salah which is considered to be very positive impact on the game of The Reds next season.
The Egyptian winger became the most expensive player in Liverpool’s history, having been recruited from AS Roma for 36.9 million pounds. But reportedly the transfer value will still grow to 43.9 million pounds according to the agreement between the two teams.
Salah scored 15 goals and made 11 assists in Serie A last season, and led Roma to finish as runners-up under Juventus.
In an interview, Owen explains why Salah is Liverpool’s best recruit this summer. For him, the presence of ‘Messi of Egypt’ will make Jurgen Klopp got many options, especially in the line of attack.
“I think Salah is a very good recruit, he did not shine enough at Chelsea, but he was young at the time,” Owen said.
“He then traveled, he found his best time in Rome, has incredible speed and if you are an attacker with super speed then you are very much appreciated,”
“I think Liverpool now look like a team with a deadly side of the attack,”
“They need it to deepen the squad for joining the Champions League, a high standard in football. So I think it’s very important they can bring Salah. ”
The 25-year-old winger’s arrival follows in the footsteps of another former Chelsea player who previously joined the Reds, Dominic Solanke. The 20-year-old striker joined the transfer-free status.
Liverpool are waiting for time to complete the recruitment of left back Andy Robertson from Hull City for 10 million pounds. He is projected to be a back-up of James Milner or even a major player. (Source: Squawka)
